One Year Anniversary: Elvis Vow Renewal in Las Vegas

I Still Do!

On April 20, 2019 I became Mrs. Setitra McCain. Our wedding was really nice and turned out beautiful and amazing! For our wedding we decided to go with a small wedding with just our closest friends and family members. My husband’s father is a pastor there for the deaf community, called Silent Assembly of God. My husband, Tony, wanted to get married at his father’s church, which is also the church Tony grew up in. We hired a photographer who is a friend of my mother-in-law, and although our pictures turned out pretty, I realized we had NO pictures of us alone of our special day together. Our wedding went by pretty fast and I kept getting pulled in different directions for selfies with friends. It was also a rainy day so we did not get to get any pictures outside as well.

Now, fast-forward to our first year anniversary, the entire World got hit with Covid-19. Everything was on lock down and we ended up celebrating in quarantine. Since we couldn’t travel anywhere nice at the time we ended up ordering take-out and getting dressed up just to stay in. Overall, our anniversary turned out amazing and we had a great time. Definitely something to remember and looking forward to sharing that with our future grandkids. I created a video of our one year anniversary, that you can check out if you like to see how we celebrated and what I wore.

A few weeks passed by and my big cousin Robert asked us if we wanted to go to Las Vegas with him. Robert wanted to go to celebrate his 35th birthday so of course we said YES! I mean it’s Vegas, c’mon! After we booked our trip we figured why not renew our vows and get some ceremony pictures of just us two. My husband had the idea that we should get married by an Elvis impersonator. At this point we were so excited to have a true Vegas experience during this pandemic.

Here’s a cute video of us before our ceremony

On December 19th, 2020 we renewed our vows while in Las Vegas at The Elvis Chapel. I told the photographer how we didn’t get any photos of us alone and we wanted to make up for that. The photographer was so nice and took AMAZING photos of us. I should also mention that while planning our wedding I really wanted to do a getaway wedding of just us two. My husband really wanted his family to be part of our special day and I was totally okay with that. Renewing our vows in Vegas was so romantic and beautiful and I feel like I finally got the wedding I always wanted. Elvis was great! He did a wonderful job and kept a smile on our faces. They also livestreamed it and posted the video on their Facebook page

Overall, I am so happy with our photos and I would marry Tony again and again. The outfit I picked out is from Boohoo. I loved it so much and when I saw the jewels on the skirt I thought, “That is so Vegas!” We are both thrilled with how everything turned out and we had a BLAST in Las Vegas. I will be sharing in the next post what I wore and some of the fun exciting things we got into and saw. Stay tuned and subscribe for blog post updates!
