How I Celebrated Mother’s Day Weekend

This weekend I had two special events happen, our youngest son Liam turned seven years old on Saturday, and on Sunday it was Mother’s Day!

Liam’s Birthday:

On Saturday, we took Liam out to Target and let him pick out some birthday gifts. He picked out a Mario wireless Nintendo switch controller, and two books, and later we invited a few family members over to wish Liam a happy birthday! It was so nice having my in-laws over for cake and ice cream. Liam got to open up some more presents and cards and later that night we watched a family movie together. It was very lovely, Liam had a wonderful time. I am so happy and very thankful that God has blessed me with such a wonderful sweet loving boy. Mommy loves you Liam! Forever & always.

Mother’s Day:

Sunday morning my family and I went to celebrate Mother’s Day at our church with my mother-in-law. My favorite way to start my day is with prayer and worship. It was so nice seeing some of the members bring in their mothers with them and we all got a chance to give a little “thank you” speech to our mothers.

I am very thankful for my husband and his family. They are everything that I ever prayed for as a little girl. A lot of girls pray for their dream husbands, however, I prayed for my dream family and what family I would marry into. It has been quite the journey to get here, and I’m very thankful every day that God has blessed me with the best in-laws. Going to church was really nice, after the sermon, all of the moms got to pick out a flower to take home.

After church

Tony, Liam, and I found a cute spot to sit and enjoy the weather for a bit. It was so beautiful outside and the flowers are finally blooming again. Liam really seemed to enjoy doing a picnic with us.

Later, we were invited over to Tony’s parent’s house for Mother’s Day lunch. It was fun catching up and hearing some fun silly stories of Tony’s childhood. Mom made us a pot roast and we had cheesecake for dessert.

Our weekend was absolutely beautiful. Liam really enjoyed his birthday and I enjoyed celebrating him and celebrating being a mother. I also got to speak to my mother and wish her a happy’s mother’s day. I’m truly blessed with the women in my life and appreciate everything they both have ever done for me and my family.
