Gave My Bestie a Glam Makeover

Best friend makeover, beauty and makeup. Makeup for black women.

I did my best friend’s makeup!

Hey Glam Dolls! Today I am going to be sharing my best friend’s makeup look. It has been a while since I’ve blogged. So sorry, we have been so busy this way. I started a little online boutique which has been keeping me busy. My son has gone back to in-person school which so far has been going really great, so my schedule has changed. We have not done any traveling since our Florida trip. I also decided to get back in school, so excited about that! I will be sharing more details on that in due time, but for the most part, I’m back and so happy to share with you all what I’ve been up to lately.

My Weekend at Mandy’s

Okay, so last month I took a trip out of town to visit my best friend Mandy and her son. I just wanted to get out of the house, go shopping with my best friend and play with some makeup. Mandy has been asking me for a while to teach her to do makeup, so it was the perfect little weekend for us to do so.

First, we spent some time going thrift shopping, one of the things we love to do together is search for great finds with great deals. We found a TON of stuff with tags on and still in like-new condition. Which was great because I was in need of some fresh new inventory for my resell boutique. Mandy said a lot of people probably donated unwanted gifts from Christmas or donated a bunch after receiving new items during the holiday season. So going into the thrift store a couple of weeks after the holiday is the best time to find like-new items. Just a quick tip.

Later that day

We went back to Mandy’s place and ordered pizza and wine. Yum! After dinner, I got to play in my makeup and do someone else’s makeup for the VERY first time! I was so nervous. If you guys have read in my earliest blog, I had just learned to do makeup a year ago. I taught myself with a little seven-day challenge, I highly recommend checking that out if you are a makeup beginner. I only brought what I had for myself and thankfully we are close to each other’s skin tone so it ended up working out for us both. Her makeup turned out so BEAUTIFUL! We loved it so much, it motivated her to jump on Facebook Live and share her Valentine’s Day jewelry.

Mandy is a paparazzi consultant and had a ton of cute stuff to share. She did an amazing job on her LIVE and looked great at it. I can tell her confidence was on a high and I loved watching her feel good about herself. It’s always nice to help put a smile on someone’s face and help inspire them to get up and do what they love doing. Check out some more of Mandy’s photos below. Love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
