How to Get Smooth Summer Skin

Summer is on the horizon and it is time to put away our winter body care products and switch to summer body care products. Keep reading to find out which are the best body products you should add to your skincare routine this summer.

Exfoliating

I love taking a day to give myself some extra pampering scrubbing, Dr. Teals Shea Sugar Scrub Cannabis Sativa Hemp Seed Oil is a great skincare product! It is formulated with shea butter, sugar, and essential oils. The sugar is there to exfoliate for softer skin and to help relieve dry spots. The essential oils are to help calm the mind, while the shea butter, hemp seed oil, and avocado oil moisturize the skin.

The body scrub smells so pleasant, and refreshing and it leaves my skin feeling delicate and smooth, my dry skin feels so great just after a couple of uses. I like to use this 1-2 times a week, after using my dry brush and I love a sugar body clean and rejuvenating oils in the shower. I got this Dr. Greenish blues Shea Sugar Scrub in Cannabis Sativa Hemp Oil a piece prior from Target.

This body scrub smells amazing! Smells very refreshing. The scrub does have a pretty strong fragrance, not ideal for someone that is sensitive to fragrance.

Dry Brush

I love using ecotools dry body brush. I use this for buffing dead skin off before my showers. It is great to use before exfoliating or a normal cleansing, you can also use it in the shower. This product has cruelty-free bristles, it is a pretty scratchy feeling but makes my skin feel so smooth. The handle is easy to hold on to, and I use this all over my body. The brush is tough enough to remove the excess dry but not too rough that it will irritate my skin. I highly recommend using a dry brush at least 1-2x a week for smooth silky skin.

Natural Deodorant

I’ve tried multiple natural deodorants, and Native Deodorant is by far my favorite natural deodorant on the market. If you haven’t switched over to natural deodorant yet, and have been thinking about it, do an underarm detox first. I first picked this up from Target in trial/travel size to test it out and I LOVED it so much that I came back and bought the full size. What caught my eye, is that they offer this product in plastic-free packaging and another for sensitive skin. This deodorant is great for both men and women and is recommended for normal skin.

It is made with ingredients that feel fresh and light under your arms and provides protection against odor. This solid deodorant is easy to apply and doesn’t leave stains on clothes as it is made without aluminum, parabens, phthalates, and talc.

My thoughts: This outperforms some of the “clinical strength” deodorants. I’ve been using this product for about two months now and I have had no skin irritation, no sweat throughout the day, or odor. It only lasts me for about 12 hours before the next use. After a few more months, I will continue to see how this works on my skin and will update this post if anything changes.

The Vaseline Cocoa Shimmer Jelly Stick is the go-to summer body care product. I’ve been using this for a couple of years now and it looks amazing on my skin. I like keeping this one in my travel bag to take on vacations with me since it is travel size. It also has a buttery texture and leaves my skin soft, smooth, and shimmery. The scent is light, smells pretty good and the shimmer is light as well. The Vaseline Cocoa Shimmer Jelly Stick is adjustable and it is easy to apply to the skin. It glides on the skin smoothly and is not tacky or sticky at all.
